ARTICLES
The Loyola Maritime Law Journal publishes original content on current legal issues in maritime, aviation, and space law. We invite the submission of content of all types (e.g. Articles, Essays, Comments, Notes, etc.) from practicing lawyers, judges, and academics for publication. While we consider submissions of all lengths, most of our published pieces run between fifteen (15) and thirty-five (35) pages.
We request that submissions be in Microsoft Word format (.doc, .docx). The journal uses footnote citations. Please format citations using The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (20th ed.) guidelines.
All statements of law or fact should be footnoted. Opinions of the author need not be cited.
-How to submit:
We review and accept articles on a rolling basis. We strongly encourage contributors to submit manuscripts on the Scholastica online platform or via e-mail to: maritimejournal@loyno.edu, with “Scholastica Submission” in the subject line.
-What to expect after submitting your article:
The Loyola Maritime Law Journal carefully considers all submissions. Once a submission is received by the journal it will be evaluated to make sure it meets our requirements for publication. If the journal selects a submission for publication, our journal’s leadsership will contact the author to discuss the publication process.
