EPA Issues Vessel Incidental Discharge Regulations

The Vessel Incidental Discharge Act (VIDA) (33 U.S.C. Sec. l132(p)) was enacted by Congress on December 4, 2019. The U.S. Coast Guard issued a regulatory framework (https://www.epa.gov/sites/production/files/2019-06/documents/webinar_final_slides.pdf).

The EPA issued proposed regulations on October 26, 2020. (84 Fed. Reg. 67818).Comments on the proposed regulations are due by November 25, 2020. Reference   Docket No. EPA-HQ-Oct-2019-0482..
