Rubio Introduces Bill to Add Florida in Offshore Revenue Sharing and Extend Gulf Moratorium

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fl) introduced Senate Bill 13 on January 3, 2019 to amend Section 102 of the Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act of 2006 to add Florida as a “Gulf Producing State” to allow it to share in offshore revenues and to amend  Section 104(a) of the Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act of 2006 to extend the moratorium in the Gulf of Mexico until June 30, 2027. The bill was referred to the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources the same day.
