U.S. Coast Guard Issues Letter of Intent- Sunoco To Increase LNG Marine Traffic on the Sabine-Neches Waterway

On Monday, October 7, 2019, the U.S. Coast Guard published its letter of intent and Preliminary Waterway Suitability Assessment submitted by Sunoco Partners Marketing & Terminals to increase traffic on the Sabine-Neches Waterway from 120 vessels per year to 432 liquefied propane and butane ship visits annually. The company also intends to expand operations to include 120 liquefied ethane ship visits per year.

Comments must be received by the Coast Guard on or before November 6, 2019. Any comments referencing docket number USCG–2019–0615 must be submitted through the portal: https://www.regulations.gov.
