Civil and Criminal Jury Trials Postponed in Eastern District Federal Court

The Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana issued Covid-19 General Order No. 21-11 on August 18, 2021. The General Order suspends all civil and criminal jury trials within the jurisdiction of the court until September 20, 2021. Deadlines established by any scheduling orders remain in effect. Attorneys may contact the presiding judges in their cases to obtain any modification of deadlines.
