Louisiana Supreme Court Amends Rule for Applications Seeking Priority Review

Effective September 1, 2022, applications seeking priority review to require that the applications be filed as soon as possible after the court of appeal’s disposition and in no event more than 10 days after the mailing of notice of judgment by the court of appeal. The rule does not alter the general 30-day filing period in La. Code Civ. P. art. 2166. Nonetheless, it makes it clear that any request for expedited review must be made promptly.
