Notice of Change When Filing Contested Civil Motions East. Dist. La

The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana posted a change in filing contested civil motions on May 29, 2015

Filing of civil contested motions in CM/ECF will no longer require the inclusion of a time of day entry at the "Motion Submission Date" screen. Only an eligible motion submission date will be entered. A Notice of Submission document is still a required attachment pursuant to Local Rule 7.2. The list of available submission dates for all judicial officers may be found on the Court's website.A quick reference document with CMECF screen shots illustrating the previous and new "Motion Submission Date" screens and docket entry examples is available here.As always, any Request for Oral Argument must be filed in accordance with Local Rule 78.1.
