Publishes Final Inflation Adjustments for Civil Monetary Penalties

The Federal Maritime Commission on February 15, 2017 published its final rule to adjust civil monetary penalties for inflation pursuant to the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act Improvements Act of 2015.  According to the announcement in the Federal Register, the rule is effective on February 15, 2017, and is applicable beginning January 15, 2017.
