U.S. Coast Guard Issues Circular on Ballast Water Management

On March 1, the U.S. Coast Guard issued a circular on Ballast Water Management For Control Of Non-Indigenous Species In Waters Of The United States. The Circular replaces  the “Navigation and Vessel Inspection Circulars (NVIC) 07-04, titled, “Ballast Water Management for the Control of Aquatic Nuisance Species in the Waters of the United States,” of June 17, 2004, as well as 07-04 Change-1 of October 29, 2004.The hyperlink to the circular is:http://www.dco.uscg.mil/Portals/9/DCO%20Documents/5p/5ps/NVIC/2018/NVIC-01_18.pdf
