Sabine Pass LNG, L.P Requests C.G. To Disestablish Anchoring Area in Sabine Pass

The Department of Homeland Security announced in the Federal Register on Friday, June 15, 2018, that Sabine Pass LNG, L.P. has requested the Coast Guard to disestablish Sabine Pass as an anchoring area. As stated in the notice Sabine Pass LNG asserts “that deep draft ships do not use the anchorage and that disestablishment of the anchorage would not pose a concern for ship traffic.”Comments to the request are due by July 16, 2018 and must be submitted through the following portal:http://www.regulations.govThe announcement in the federal register may be found following this link:https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2018-06-15/pdf/2018-12910.pdf
