Safety Zone in New Orleans on Lower Mississippi River Proposed

Today, June 18, 2018, the Department of Homeland Security announced a proposal by the U.S. Coast Guard to establish a safety zone in the Lower Mississippi River between mile marker(MM) 94 and MM 97, above Head of Passes.” This zone is necessary to provide for the safety of life on these navigable waters during firework displays.”Comments to the proposal are due by July 18, 2018 and should be sent through the federal portal:http://www.regulations.govThe announcement in the federal register may be found at:https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2018-06-18/pdf/2018-13025.pdf
